Data Integration with SAP

The integration based on SAP Cloud Platform Integration for data services works both ways. It is used when there is a regular data exchange. Even for tactical planning procedures.

Prerequisites

The IBP user who schedules tasks in the SAP Cloud Platform from IBP needs the following authorizations:

• Authorization to access the app Application Jobs ( business Catalog SAP_IBP_BC_APPLICATIONJOB_PC)
• Backend authorization to schedule the tasks. Only in SAP Cloud Platform services. In the business catalogue SAP IBP BC EXCEL ADDIN PC permission can be granted to the business.  However, utilising the limitations of the administrative functions’ write restriction value SCHED – Schedule Integration Service (HCI) Tasks.

Data Import Using the Integration Service

The integration service directly connects to on-premise systems. Only to extract and securely pipe data from source systems to IBP target tables via secure HTTP (HTTPS), utilizing the data integration function in the integration service. Data Export Using the Integration Service

For each planning area in IBP. There is an IBP calculation scenario that allows the extraction of all IBP key figures on an aggregate level. The integration service has access to the computation scenario. Additionally, the integration service supports the extraction of master data. When an IBP system is connected. The integration service can use the read-only IBP master data tables. Only as the source datastore.
